GE Appliances Recalls Top-Loading Clothes Washers Due to Fire Hazard, where an electrical component in the washers can overheat, posing a fire hazard.

They've been sold at Best Buy, Lowe’s, Sears, The Home Depot and other stores for between $900 and $1,400.

There have been 71 reports of internal washer components burning or catching fire, including three reports of fires resulting in about $129,000 in property damage.

Exposure to certain bacteria can have adverse health effects in immunocompromised individuals, posing a risk of serious illness including a bacterial infection. Consumers with healthy immune systems are not generally affected by the bacteria.

Samsung Recalls Galaxy Note7 Smartphones purchased before September 15, 2016, Due to Serious Fire and Burn Hazards, where the lithium-ion battery in the Galaxy Note7 smartphones can overheat and catch fire, posing a serious burn hazard to consumers.

Come on now, we've all seen the YouTube video of the guy's pocket sparking up, right? If you do a web search, you'll see that Samsung is in a world of hurt as folks are lobbing lawsuits at them. And rightfully so if they can't even put out a safe product.

Samsung has received 92 reports of the batteries overheating in the U.S., including 26 reports of burns and 55 reports of property damage, including fires in cars and a garage.
