Shark Navigator Vacuum Review, Then and Now

Images not to scale, both are the same height

Back in Feb of 2014 I had bought a 'Shark Navigator Lift-Away Professional Upright,' (on the left) and in late 2018, I finally had to replace it with a 'Shark Navigator Professional Upright Vacuum for Carpet and Hard Floor with Lift-Away Hand Vacuum and Anti-Allergy Seal (NV360).' (on the right).

While we had the 2014 Shark Navigator, it did the job sufficiently enough. Through the four years that I had it, it developed a few issues, but Shark was quick to support us and send replacement parts when needed.

Over the last few months a few other issues started to pop up, so we decided to pick up another Shark.

Again, this Shark worked as well as the previous one... but there were some curious differences that were a bit disappointing, but no show stoppers.

The first big difference was that the dust container was about half the size of the older one. The other noticeable difference was that the power cord was over twelve feet shorter than the 2014 model. The 2014 model was awesome - plug it in once and you can cover quite an area. But we had to add a 12-foot extension cord to our new Shark to cover the same area.

Both models are 45.5 inches tall...

Overall, the new Shark is just fine, performing just as well as the older one. But we have to empty the dust container twice as often.

For the money, Shark still has my vote!
