Review BUTTERFINGER PEANUT BUTTER CUPS

The other day I saw a Nestle Butterfinger Peanut Butter Cups candy in the store aisle and I thought I'd give it a try.

To be fair, my usual go-to peanut butter cup is Reese's but my absolute favorite peanut candy type product is See's California Crunch. (They spell it oddly, so pardon my correct spelling.)

Any way, I bought into the Butterfinger Peanut Butter Cup and to be honest, it was pretty unimpressive. My guess is that my expectations created by See's or Reese's set the bar pretty high and I'm used to it. But the thing is... Butterfinger tried to change up their filing.

Had they stuck with their usual crunchy insides, I think I would have liked it. But instead, they made the filling a bit smoother and they really overloaded the chocolate so there wasn't even that much filling.

The filling felt "smoother" and unsatisfying compared to a standard Butterfinger bar that is their trademark crunchy filling. Had they stuck to that and not overwhelmed with the chocolate coating, I think this would have been a different review.

So for myself, this is a no-go and I don't think I'll be going back for another try.
