A Website That Helps Make Favicons

a reprint from an earlier (Jan 2010) article:

Have you ever needed to figure out how to make an ico file, or favicon for my site.  Some resources explain how to make an ico file, via PhotoShop, if you have that app.

But if you don't have Photoshop, there is one other resource I discovered that was a handy little tool.

The website is called html-kit, and they have a service called favicon.

All I did from this site was choose my original file, uploaded it, and the webpage did all the work.  It created 2 files for me.  A standard favicon and an animated ico file.

It took all of about 30 seconds to figure out and use.

The site then takes the finished product and puts it all into a zip file for download.

Check it out at http://www.html-kit.com/favicon/.
